Iren has came and left, I have a lingering question?

Irene came and our power is not out. The weather channal is saying that there are heavy rains and winds to follow, is it likely that our power will go out during the aftermath of Hurricane Irene?

It sounds like you’re safe if you didn’t lose power during the storm, there’s no reason to lose it now.
Your power could certainly still go out for a number of reasons. Maybe a tree was weaken but didn’t fall during the storm but the high winds to follow push it down over a power line. Who knows what could happen! But certainly I would think risk of long term power outages is over. Maybe short term, like a few hours, but not for days and days.
